Sounds cool but...

This reminds me a lot of a track I heard on an AK1200 album. Im not saying you stole it or anything... its just a very distinct style. Its actually a great example of the standard in drum n bass today.

Indeed floaty.

I like the arpaggio melody. Mixed with the piano its a nice relaxing effect. My only worry is that the beat is rather simple and harsh. Id try mixing it up and finding some less standard drum samples to keep the floaty feel going.

Not a bad loop.

Bravo.

Another piece of non drum n bass that is nontheless very catchy. From the start this track sways in and out of being electronicly driven. Its very massive attack. Great work.

Really pretty tune.

This is just a well made... quite beautiful... piece of music. Though im most sure its not drum n bass material... who cares. Good work.

You have a good ear

A nice little dance tune. I like your style. Youve only been using very simple samples but you certainly know how to compose a catchy piece. Get some more going and let us hear the progress.

Not a bad sound.

I like how you got the drum to sound like a kind of military march. The track is composed well and you showed good use of the sound-bite for a little flavor. My only concern is the melody... im just not a big fan of moogie sounding bass melodies. Try some variation in the melody as well.

This shows quite a bit of potential. Keep it up. Also try straying away from the base FL samples.

That is a great movie clip.

First thing... the clip of nicholson made me laugh... you fit it in the song well the first time but you might have over used it. The beat is cool though crazily fast. The melodies are kind of repetitive and e-bassy. Id look for some real drum kicks to go with a breakbeat sounding beat. You might also try using some more subtle effects to get a melodic ambience that sounds smooth.

Very very simple.

This loop is very simple... and distinctly FL. I would reccomend you experiment with some effects and try the beat slicer to get some funky rythm going. Its easy to get melodies going with interesting beats. Its not a bad loop... just very basic. It reminds me of the tunes you can have play out of a little battery powered keyboard.

Dont get me wrong... youre on the right track... keep it up.

Nice beats and atmosphere.

Indeed a bit trancy for me. The bass melody seemed a bit simple too. The best part of the track is the drums. They sound great with the heavy reverb and delay. The sound-bites (guys saying "four... three... etc...) bug the hell out of me. They seem slapped in there with no effects. The higher pitched melody that comes in and out every once in a while would be nice to hear more of.

Its a decent track. I just think you should step it up with the flavor.

Keep em coming.

Not bad.

The bass "dududu" thing was a nice touch. But, the sudden drop in bpm toward the middle threw me off. Though aside from that it sounds pretty cool. Maybe try keeping it more consistant throughout the song. A central melody might be nice... longer songs that dont feature melody are recognized as repetitive easily. This track reminds me of early sonic mayhem (quake games soundtracks)... and the style reminds me of old mortal kombat tunes.

Worth a listen or two. Keep it up.

LoL... thanxz, but the BPM thing was intentional as you can hear LoL... well.. it was to add style.. guess it didnt work :D

I make breakbeat/drum n bass style music using Fruityloops, Cool Edit, mostly free or custom made samples, and my inability to focus on anything else. I believe in detailed constructive critisism. Advice is infinitly more useful than praise or scorn.
